Plan International

The first book on the prevention of teenage pregnancy in Peru. Loreto is the region in Peru that registers the highest number of teenage pregnancy cases. For this reason, in 2020, I traveled to Loreto to visit five communities. There, I was able to document their customs and most representative visual elements, which I later incorporated into the book’s illustrations and the stories written by the teenagers themselves. Unfortunately, my trip ended abruptly due to the arrival of the pandemic. However, I managed to complete the project virtually from my studio in Lima, and it was published a year later by the NGO Plan International and distributed free of charge among the Loreto community.
